People who have taken part in a Self Management Programme have said that it has helped them to:

  • Feel more confident and more in control of their life
  • Manage their condition and treatment, alongside healthcare professionals
  • Be realistic about the impact of their condition on themselves and their family
  • Achieve their own personal goals and cope better with problems as they arise
  • Use their new skills and knowledge to improve their quality of life

“Attending EPP empowered me to take control of my anxiety. Standing up to my obstacles and doing something about them made me realise that the things I once feared never had half the strength I thought they possessed.” (EPP participant)

“Every week we set our action plans, I promised to take some relaxing time to read romantic novels. I met a lovely gentleman on the course, little did I think that romance would bloom for me. Our first date was at ‘Breathe Easy’ and Paul’s took my breath away ever since!” (EPP participant)
