Change to the Park Active Sessions

From the 3rd August 2019 there will be one 45 minute session instead of the 2 x 30 minute sessions currently being run. This means that on Saturday there will be one session at Wollescote from 9:30 to 10:15, one session at Buffery Park from 10:00 to 10:45, one session at Abbey Street Rec from 10:00 to 10:45. On Sunday there will be one session at Quarry Bank from 11:00 to 11:45 and one session at Grange Park from 10:00 to 10:45

Let’s get active in our local parks. FREE weekly outdoor fitness sessions for groups of all abilities.

Qualified instructors take the group through a 45-minute outdoor activity session. Everyone is able to work at their own level and enjoy the benefits of exercising outdoors. These circuit-based sessions are family-friendly, fun and suit all ages and abilities.

The Park Active project is also recruiting and training volunteers to deliver the weekly outdoor community workouts.

Extending the offer from our existing four healthy hub sites, which each hold a timetable of activity sessions, these weekly sessions take place at five new parks across the borough:

At Stevens Park, Wollescote on Saturdays

9:30 to 10:15am

(meet at the upper car park)

At Buffery Park, Kates Hill on Saturdays

10:00 to 10:45

(meet outside the Paradise Centre).

At Abbey Street Rec, Gornal on Saturdays

10:00 to 10:45

(meet at the children’s play area).

At Stevens Park, Quarry Bank on Sundays

11:00 to 11:45

(meet by the outdoor gym).

At Grange Park, Dudley on Sundays

Session – 10:00 to 10:45am

(meet at the pavilion)

No additional equipment is required, just turn up in suitable clothing and footwear and bring a drink.
