Severe mental illness is rare in young people but there are times when you may experience difficult times and need support.

If you are experiencing difficulties you can talk to your parents, GP or school nurse who will be able to offer you support and advice. To find out what day the school nurse is at your school speak to your school receptionist.

If you would prefer not to speak to someone face to face there is an online counselling service called KOOTH where you can speak to a counsellor confidentially.

If you feel that your child would benefit from extra support for their mental health you can speak to their teacher, school nurse or your GP.
