Since September 2014 every child in reception, year 1 and year 2 in state-funded schools has been entitled to a free school lunch.
Children may also be entitled to Free School Meals if their parent/carers receive benefits such as Income Support, Income-based Jobseekers Allowance, Income-related Employment & Support Allowance, Child Tax Credit, Working Tax Credit, Universal Credit.
