All Bran Fruit Loaf

100g (4oz) All Bran
100ml (4fl oz) semi-skimmed milk
30g (1oz) sugar
150g (5oz) dried fruit
100g (4oz) self-raising flour
1 teaspoon mixed spice or cinnamon


1. Preheat oven to 180°C (Gas Mark 4)
2. Grease a loaf tin and line it with greaseproof paper
3. Place the All Bran in a bowl and pour in the milk - leave to soak for about half an hour
4. Mix in the sugar and dried fruit
5. Add the flour and mix thoroughly
6. Transfer loaf mixture to tin
7. Place in oven and bake for approximately 45 minutes
