Dudley School Sports Network
Active Black Country and Dudley Council Public Health jointly fund the Dudley School Sports Network. Working alongside strategic partners the Network strives to support the growth and development of Physical Activity and Sport across the Borough.
The Aims:
- To ensure key national, regional and local messages are effectively disseminated to schools by regular Secondary Heads of PE and Primary PE coordinator meetings. These are virtual and face to face meetings.
- To provide regular PE bulletins with updates on the campaigns and initiatives from Active Black Country, Dudley Public Health and School Games as well as local and regional updates from partners.
- To understand the training needs of staff at Primary, Secondary, Special schools and PRU’s across the Dudley borough. This is to include both teaching and wider school staff including lunchtime supervisors and teaching assistants.
- To develop and execute a broad year-round offer of CPD and training opportunities for schools which provide opportunities to improve the health and wellbeing of children and young people across the region.
- To establish an effective network for Dudley schools to identify and share best practices and approaches to improving pupils’ health and wellbeing.
- To utilise established networks to support the coordination of Dudley Schools’ extra-curricular offer, increasing the transition of pupils from school to community activity.

- Cricket Skills (Worcester County Cricket) – Secondary @ Crestwood School – Monday 20th March 2023, 4:00pm – 6:00pm
