CHADD

CHADD have received funding from the Innovation Fund to support the development and provision of a quick response service which will provide specialist counselling and mental health support for young people. The aim is that this new project will provide mental health support in a timely fashion, to help reduce the acceleration of young people becoming more vulnerable and falling at a crisis point. The quick response service will provide therapeutic support such as:

  • Crisis intervention
  • One to one counselling/ongoing individual counselling
  • Anger Management – individually and group sessions
  • Trauma recovery – individual and group sessions
  • Healthy relationships – possible young couples counselling, possibly domestic abuse recovery work too.
  • Bereavement, ACE recovery

The service will be available to support young people aged 16-25 years, that are in local authority, semi-supported accommodation, care leavers, young people that have been referred to the service that have been referred through the homelessness team, expectant parents /young parents and young people stepping down from residential care into independent accommodation.
