The theatre education provider, Saltmine Theatre Company, in collaboration with CHADD and Phase Trust have received funding from the Voluntary Sector Innovation Fund to deliver performances/workshops in education settings in Dudley to raise awareness of abuse, grooming and coercive control. The workshops will be based on true life stories from victims of domestic abuse living in the Refuge in Dudley. The aim of these powerful creative and interactive performances is to empower young people to take positive control of their own lives and not repeat negative behaviour patterns that have been modelled and taught. Young people will be supported to feel safe to respond to the messages from the performances and will be supported by professionals from CHADD and Phase Trust who have experience of listening and supporting young people and adults.
