St Thomas’s Community Association have received funding from the Voluntary Sector Innovation Fund to open Sledmere Community Centre, a facility at the heart of Sledmere, Oakham and Buffery areas.
The Centre will become a hub of community activity delivering a wide range of activities for all ages including education/ training, cookery classes, fitness and wellbeing classes, tenants & residents meetings, youth club, drop in advice and information provision, sports activities such as football, cricket, trips out, family fund days, tea/coffee mornings/drop ins for local residents, food bank and Christmas meal for local families, neighbourhood / Street watch and martial arts.
